Rep Joyce Beatty Gets Swore At By Rep Hal Rogers

On Black History month, congressman Hal Rogers swore at African American congresswoman Joyce Beatty.

On Tuesday Morning well known Kentucky’s Republican representative Hal Rogers was maskless before boarding the D.C subway, when he swore at Jocey Beatty

These two representatives were heading to attending the House floors for votes.

In these Covid-19 days, Ohio’s Democratic representative Beatty asked Rogers to put a mask on.

In response to the question, Roger felt entitled to ‘poke’ Betty in the back demanding her get on the train. As a response to this none consensual action, Betty responded “please don’t touch me.”

In defense Roger swore saying “Kiss My Ass.” There has been no further information on what occurred after that incident.

Beatty who chairs the congressional Black Caucus, Tweeted “This is the kind of disrespect we have been fighting for years, and indicative of the larger issue we have with GOP Members flaunting health and safety mandates designed to keep us and our staff safe.”

She continued “”@RepHalRogers, when you are ready to grow up and apologize for your behavior, you know where to find me.”

Above all, supporters responded by identifying this incident as harassment. Additionally extending their support to Beatty during this moment.

With eyes on Hal Roger for the inappropriate behavior, he apologized late Tuesday.

“My words were not acceptable and I expressed my regret to her, first and foremost,” the congressman said on CNN

This apology arrived 2 hours after the incident. On the contrary Beatty stated that “he mumbled some words”. Despite the observation, she accepts and moves on.

Representative Jocey Beatty is not fond of the handling of the situation, stating, “Maybe the question is, had a Black man poked a White woman and then told her to kiss his blank blank, you tell me what you think would have happened,” she told John Berman on “New Day”.
