Traveling to Tiffany’s

Traveling to Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn once said, “I’m just crazy about Tiffany’s.” The 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s, introduced us to the mean reds. “The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid and you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany’s. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there.”

She knew there was something in that little blue box that incited a feeling of warmth and calmness. If a trip to New York on the horizon, then Tiffany’s might be worth a visit for both film and jewelry lovers.

PC: Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

Since 1940, the flagship Tiffany store has been located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan, New York City. It’s a New York staple and must-do activity to wake up early in the morning, put on your little black dress, grab a pastry, and enjoy the immaculate vibe of having your very own breakfast in front of the proud window. You’ve probably seen this location in Breakfast at Tiffany’s film with Audrey Hepburn, or Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon and Patrick Dempsey.

PC: Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. has a far wider reach in the world of luxury than you might think. Fun fact: Tiffany’s makes the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the award given to the winning NFL football team at the Super Bowl each year. They also manufactured the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the winning basketball team in the NBA Finals. They also generously contribute millions of dollars to coral and marine conservation, the construction of an HIV/AIDS treatment facility in Botswana, and many more worthy causes.

Those who love to partake in window shopping or retail therapy can find relaxation in simply looking at the beautiful engagement rings and masterfully crafted diamond necklaces. If Tiffany’s doesn’t take away the mean reds for you, then I encourage you to find your own place that can make you feel just like Tiffany’s.
