Agatha All Along? Kathryn Hahn Joins Knives Out 2

Actress Kathryn Hahn stole the hearts of Marvel fans playing Agatha Harkness in TV show “WandaVision”. On May 13, Deadline revealed that Hahn was cast in Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” sequel.

Casting has been held under wraps for “Knives Out 2”. Only five casting choices have been announced, including Daniel Craig, Janelle Monae, Dave Bautista and Edward Norton. Craig is returning to his role as Benoit Blanc, a campy, Southern detective a la Sherlock Holmes.

Crew will film “Knives Out 2” in Greece in the coming months.

Johnson directed the star-studded installment of “Knives Out” from 2019 as well. The film grossed $311 million and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. “Knives Out” surrounded the affluent Thrombey family and the murder of their patriarch, Harlan. Stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans and Ana De Armas were significant members of the ensemble cast.

Following the success of the first film, Johnson made a $400 million-deal with Netflix to produce two more films.

Other than “WandaVision”, Hahn has acted in “Bad Moms,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Stepbrothers,” “I Know This Much Is True,” “Private Life” and “Transparent.” She has two upcoming projects: “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” and “The Shrink Next Door”. Hahn will star with Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd in “The Shrink Next Door”.
