Miu Miu launched their FW22 limited edition of leather jackets as a continuation of ‘Upcycled by Miu Miu ‘initiative, which first started in 2020. As a circular fashion model, the project supports sustainability and vintage fashion by Miu Miu aesthetic.

While Miu Miu showcased a special collection of 80 vintage dresses upon the initiative, the brand transformed no more than 50 leather jackets this season to give new life to pre-owned jackets sourced from vintage markets. Previously, the jackets were unveiled on the Fall/Winter 2022 runway.

The fashion brand reworked the vintage jackets with delicate handcraft by its atelier. Each garment has stunning variations. While the embellishment of the garment exudes femininity, the iconic oversized silhouette of the garment is associated with rebel youth and a masculine style. Simply, the new collection of jackets is rebellious yet romantic.

Also, the contrasting material is beautifully inserted and crafted in the garment, such as shearling collars, faux-fur lapels, crystal flower embellishment, and python-printed leather. Moreover, the colorful satin edge of the garment adds cute and unexpected details. With various unique combinations, the jackets are special in themselves to complete many glamorous looks. Embodying the identity of the brand, the new collection has fun, cool and urban elements in the vintage motorcycle jackets.

The brand’s latest campaign showcased the up-cycled leather jacket collection. Driven by the concept of the masculine perfecto, the campaign accompanies vintage motorcycles, glistening metal, and ink-laden rubber in an urban subway.
