LOUIS VUITTON WATCH PRIZE FOR INDEPENDENT CREATIVES
“Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives” is a new initiative by Louis Vuitton. It is about to kick off for the creative talent. For the winner, mentorship, and a cash grant will be given.
This biannual award is for those who dare to challenge and defy the test of time. However, it’s more than an award for watchmakers. Its goal is to foster creativity and innovation while honoring the art of watchmaking. Through this initiative, the brand intends to celebrate the creative talent, savoir-faire, and audacity of the independent watchmaking industry. Ultimately, it, therefore, aims to support and encourage the independent watchmakers and the industry.
Watchmaking is not a dormant industry; it is not inaccessible. Young generations of watch enthusiasts are passionate and want to see new innovations on the market. That is why we want to create this initiative at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.

Benefits
The winner of the award will get a grant as well as a one-year mentorship by the experts of the design house. Also, its dedicated team will support the winner in multiple aspects, including communication, copyright, and corporate legal aspects, as well as marketing, industrial strategy, and the financial management of a brand.
Application
The award is open to anyone of any age from all over the countries. In order to participate, candidates must have independently designed and created a timepiece or horological construction that has been legally protected under a registered enterprise. Only creations manufactured and commercialized before July 2023 are eligible for application. Basically, each candidate may only apply once and submit one creation throughout the competition. Meanwhile, the application will be open at the beginning of 2023.
