Mezcal El Silencio Presents: Silencio UMBRA
On November 29th, the award-winning Mezcal brand, Mezcal El Silencio, announced their upcoming experience called Silencio UMBRA. The event will host a plethora of activities. Also, it will start at sundown on February, 2023 on Mezcal El Silencio’s mystical 16-acre distillery and luxury retreat, Casa Silencio in Oaxaca, Mexico.
About El Silencio
El Silencio Mezcal revived the ancient art of mezcal and pioneered new ways of hand-crafting the spirits and their mixtures. Fausto Zapata and Vicente Cisneros founded the company in 2013 and are ushering the spirits to new generations. Now, El Silencio’s award winning concoctions are created in Oaxaca, Mexico using a traditional process that has been passed down for generations.
About Casa Silencio
In the “Valle del Silencio” (or Valley of Silence), this award-winning distillery and luxury retreat honors the ancient production of Mezcal. This unique, agave spirit was born in the Mexican mountains of Oaxaca. Casa Silencio is a modern temple that is home to ancient tradition and features six breathtaking suites.

This experience in Oaxaca, Mexico will feature culinary wonders and artistic exhibits. Specifically, there will be music, shows, and gourmet cuisine for attendants to enjoy. Ultimately, will be equal parts magic and madness, a dream-like experience that lives on long after the darkness turns to light.
Some of the culinary wonders begin with Casa Silencio’s culinary vision by Chef Daniel Robles. Also, Origen’s Rodolfo Catellanos and Casa Oaxaca’s Alejandro Ruiz will be providing their cuisines. Lastly, Silencio UMBRA will debut an ultra rare alcoholic variation called El Silencio.
As far as entertainment goes, there will be an abundance of it. The sounds of Silencio UMBRA will feature a lineup of world-renowned DJs and a soon-to-be-announced headliner. Additionally, the lineup is curated exclusively by Derek Barbolla and Phillipe Tuschman, the founders of Cercle.
From hypnotic theatrics to phantasmic light shows, Casa Silencio will be filled with mind bending art that will immerse each guest in its performances. Between the gourmet culinary to the immersive exhibits, Silencio UMBRA is sure to be a night to remember for all.
