Here’s the Guests for RBG’s Tribute Event
Taking place next Monday at 8 p.m. ET, Demand Justice will be hosting “Honor Her Wish” in remembrance of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Stacey Abrams and Elizabeth Warren are among some of the politicians that will be speaking.
Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kristen Bell, Kesha, Hayley Williams, Phoebe Bridgers and Michael Stipe are some of the performers.
“Honor Her Wish” will pay tribute to her legacy and bring light to Ginsburg’s last desire — to not be replaced before the next presidential inauguration. President Trump and Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell are trying not to grant it.
After federal judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination almost two weeks ago, it has caused quite the controversy. Some are hurt by the news because it isn’t what Ginsburg would have wanted.
Not to mention, the production will happen the same day the Republican hearings begin to confirm President Trump’s nominee.
“As the Senate begins confirmation hearings to fill RBG’s seat, we must channel her unstoppable determination as we call on our senators to honor her dying wish that there be no confirmation until inauguration,” says the RSVP page to the event.
