Joseph Black Drops New Single “Always & Forever”

Rising rapper Joseph Black has released a new single titled “Always & Forever.” This song is his first of 2021, with Black releasing his first song in 2020. The pop-rap song is about betrayal within a romantic relationship. The track is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music streaming platforms.

Joseph Black is a 22-year-old rapper, singer, and producer from Minnesota. His second track “(I Hope You) Miss Me” went viral when it was released in February of 2020, with the music video for it garnering over 4 million views on YouTube. The song became a trend on Tik Tok, where people would text the lyrics of the song to their ex. The song itself was written about Black’s ex and his heartbreak over their break up. The song is used in almost 200,000 videos on Tik Tok. Black now has over 200,000 followers on Tik Tok himself.

“Always & Forever” is also about heartbreak, and is a follow up to “(I Hope You) Miss Me.” It dropped on April 2, 2021.

“The whole song is based off of me walking in on someone I called a best friend-even a brother-sleeping with my ex-girl. Me and my girl was going through a rough time and he knew how it affected me so he was helping me get through it, just to find out he was playing both sides all along. It hurt to lose them both the way I did,” said Black.

On his Spotify about page, Black says he had a turbulent childhood, with him growing up on welfare in a drug-heavy community. He states that this background drives his love and dedication to music. He started recording his own music at 15, and dropped out of school at 18. After he chose to leave school, he began devoting himself to his music.
