‘Door To Door’ Push To Vaccinate Americans

On July 6th, 2021, The Biden Administration created a new technique, called ‘door to door’, to speed up the vaccination rates. The effort to vaccinate Americans continues to fall short. During the Fourth of July weekend, their goal was to have 70 percent of the adult population with at least one shot of the vaccines that are offered.

Despite the administrations’ ongoing concerns of a powerful relapse including the more contagious Delta variant, President Joe Biden plans to increase the vaccinated population with this new method.

“Now we need to go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood and often times door-to-door- literally knocking on doors, to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus,” Biden said.

Is The Door To Door Method Necessary?

Critics have disagreed with Biden in regards to the new initiative on Twitter, along with several GOP lawmakers.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, tweeted a response to Biden’s video saying, “How about don’t knock on my door. You’re not my parents. You’re the government. Make the vaccine available, and let people be free to choose. Why is that concept so hard for the left?”

physician and Fox News contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier responded to Jen Psaki’s video seconding Biden’s plan saying, “Vaccine education and conversation should be between a doctor and patient, not by a grassroot government door knocker.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., seconded Saphiers’ response to the video saying, “A lot of people have big government antibodies. Don’t knock on those doors.”

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Az., similarly expressed his opinion towards the video saying, ‘”It’s NONE of the government’s business knowing who has or hasn’t been vaccinated.”

It is safe to note that the national vaccination rate is persistently lower in some individual states as their residents resist Biden’s request to push them into getting vaccinated. This reflects the simple fact that vaccine uncertainty is a product more of skepticism them access.
