The Olympics have taken the world by storm over the last week as we are able to watch some of the most physically fit and mentally strong people in the world. Watching these athletes take on different sports we begin to think about their training, their day-to-day as well as what they eat. Below are just a few examples of how these impressive women athletes fuel themselves on a daily basis. It is also interesting to see the varying differences in meals from athlete to athlete.

Katie Ledecky

This swimming all-star has made her name in the pool after dominating the Rio Olympic games. Being a long-distance swimmer having enough energy as well as endurance is crucial to a good race. Here is just a simple example of what she has day-to-day. For breakfast, she typically starts off with a bowl of oatmeal and a banana. As for lunch, she has eggs and veggie toast. For a snack, she munches on fruits or a granola bar. Finally, for dinner, she will have chicken or steak with veggies pasta, or some sort of carb on the side. Simone Biles is well known across their work for her impressive jumps and flips in the world of gymnastics. She was built for this sport and has dominated in each of its different fields. Now here is a look at the typical meal of this impressive gymnast. For breakfast, she will typically have oatmeal, a protein shake, or some sort of fruit. As for lunch, she will usually have either pasta and chicken or salmon and veggies. Her go-to snacks include fruit, pretzels, or popcorn. Allyson Felix has impressed the world with her skills on the track. Her speed and agility have been shown in the results of each of her events. She showed her speed in Rio and will continue in this upcoming Olympics. With all this, it’s interesting to see what she consumes on a day-to-day basis.
