Undercover Spring 24 Brings Elegance to The Garden Party
Suits and gowns brought elegance fit for a garden party that was the Undercover Spring Summer ’24 show. With an insect motif, the brand set the mood for their most recent Paris Fashion Week. In the heart of the fashion world, the Undercover SS24 show unfolded as an ethereal spectacle that left the audience in awe. Under the designer Jun Takahashi, this show was an extraordinary celebration of innovation, artistry, and life. With a runway set in a dimly lit industrial space that was transformed into a mystical garden, the ambiance signaled that this was not a regular fashion show.

The real star of the show was the last three looks, the butterfly terrarium dresses. When the lights went dim towards the end of the show, more models emerged. However, models donning wearable terrariums appeared. When closely observed, butterflies could be seen fluttering inside the dress. According to Takahshi’s interpreter, the butterflies “will be freed, of course.” Inside the terrarium, flowers were carefully placed for the butterflies to enjoy whilst being in the dress. As something that has yet to be done before by another brand, this show demonstrated just how beautifully delicate fashion can be.
