Streetwear is given an eye-catching contemporary appeal through Marcelo Burlon’s, County of Milan’s Autumn/Winter 2021 Collection.
Based in Milan, Marcelo Burlon is a fashion designer, DJ, photographer, and creative director, who is well-known for “defining quality of modernity”. His most recent collection is not shy of that.
Inspired by shamantic rituals, the collection is nowhere near short of bold graphics, textures, and prints amongst details like “tiger stripes clawing through the curtain of reality”. Blues, reds, bright orange, black, and burnt reds double as work wear and ritual wear. Crinkle fabric, corduroy, washed cotton, sherpa, and ultralight ripstop are some of the key fabrics and elements that bring this vivid collection to life.
Burlon transforms everyday clothing into much more–robes into coats and jackets, denim into damier, while layering is a key staple throughout with puffers.
Marcelo Burlon, County of Milan comes full circle in collaboration with jewelry designer Chrishabana, known for tribal and out-of-the-box pieces.
