UNIQLO Celebrates 25 Years of Fleece

Japanese global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces a lineup of fleece products to celebrate the 25th anniversary since its debut. First launched in Japan in 1994, UNIQLO fleece has continued to evolve, and has become a mainstay and essential fashion item in every fall/winter wardrobe. Loved by a broad range of people for the way it crosses borders, between outdoor and urban environments, as well as cultures and generations, this season’s lineup offers greater comfort and freshness as the item that has come to symbolize UNIQLO Life-wear.

Offering Greater Choice with Rich Variation in Material, Design and Color Fleece has continued to evolve with modern materials and designs, while still retaining the same basic functionalities of lightness, softness, and warmth. The varied lineup this year includes standard fleece full-zip jackets, along with other materials such as boa fleece in a trendy sheep boa fabric, and furry fleece with a soft fur-like surface. New in the men’s collection is a half-zip style that can be worn as sports casual.

New Ideas as Next-generation Fashion Item Fleece has evolved alongside UNIQLO as an article of clothing that can be casually worn by anyone. That development is today accelerating as a next-generation fashion item with offerings of new styles from Uniqlo U, and designer collaborations such as the UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON and UNIQLO and Engineered Garments lines.
