TAFT Mental Health Collection
The Mental Health Collection
TAFT Mental Health Collection steps outside of footwear and aims to raise awareness about mental health. Kory Steven’s personal journey with mental health is the inspiration for this collection, and access to mental health education and resources are of great significance to this brand. The collection focuses on awareness while also promoting change, considering 10% of proceeds from the collection they will donate to mental health organizations. On the TAFT website they also offer an easy way to donate more to the cause.
Mental Health Organizations
The two organizations they are choosing are Made of Millions and Mental Health America. With this collection, you can not only pick out some great fall comfortable clothes, but also help create change and promote awareness of mental health. At Made of Millions their mission is to combat the stigmas around mental health. Their mission is also to help individuals who struggle with mental health without support from healthcare systems. The website includes a learning page and offers space to communicate with others about important mental health topics. Mental Health America is a great resource to get screenings, become informed and learn how you can take part in change.
Collection Products
All of the products are under $150 and offer a mix of hoodies, crewnecks, socks, and T-shirts. The collection offers designs with text such as “Take Care of Yourself,” “Call Back Tomorrow,” or a smiley face. The collection is simple, warm, and comfortable. This collection is great for any person, especially as we head into a colder season. My personal favorite is the Take Care Long Sleeve in Cypress. It features a soft yellow heart on the front with the message “Take Care of Yourself” bordering the heart. The long sleeve is heavy weight, making it an extra snuggly and warm article. Destigmatizing mental health and becoming aware is important no matter who you are. Go check out TAFT’s Mental Health Collection and learn more about the organizations they are donating to.
