Silver is the Color of Fall 2023
Watch out, gold! Silver is the new color of the fall 2023 fashion season. This year, metallics aren’t just adorning necks or shining on purses–they’re the whole outfit. From bras to boots to baby tees, silver is proving to overshadow gold in a major way. The shiner the better, in my opinion.
The Silver Mini Skirt
By far, the biggest trend of the Fall 2023 season is the sparkly silver mini skirt. I’ve seen this garment everywhere and recently took it upon myself to purchase one of my own! Wearing a skirt as bold as this can dress up an otherwise casual outfit. Olivia Doces rocks a plain, cropped tank top with her silver mini skirt and black sunnies, creating an effortlessly dressy look that isn’t trying too hard. In the era of Taylor Swift’s song “Mirrorball” from hit album Folklore, many Swifties have taken it upon themselves to further this trend by deeming anything silver and sparkly a “Mirrorball” fit.
The Silver Boot
Out with the old, in with the new: switch out your black equestrian boots to silver shimmery boots! Carla Hinojosa rocks stunning Fendi boots that sit right below the knee. Coupled with a silver mini skirt, charcoal sweater, and peach Chanel crossbody bag, Hinojosa has created the perfect fall going-out fit. The sweater adds a cozy effect while the elegant boots complement the skirt.
The Silver Pant
But for the colder months, switch out your mini skirt for a silver pant. Danielle Carolan styled her pair with black ankle boots, crop top, and blazer. Her silver shoulder bag jazzes up an already stylish city outfit, iconic for a night out on the town. I’ve seen silver mostly paired with white for the daytime, but combining black and silver constructs a look that begs to be photographed in front of the Empire State Building at 1am. Party girl vibes all around.
