Patricio Campillo and Tequila Don Julio Celebrate Connection at NYFW
Mexican design and tradition came together during New York Fashion Week as Patricio Campillo and Tequila Don Julio unveiled the latest Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition Bottle during Campillo’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway show on Sunday.
The limited-edition design draws inspiration from El Puente Eterno (The Eternal Bridge), Tequila Don Julio’s new Día de Muertos campaign celebrating connections that endure across time and distance.
Central to the story is the cempasúchil, or marigold, a flower deeply associated with Día de Muertos traditions and believed to help guide loved ones home. Within the campaign, the bridge becomes another symbol of connection, linking those who are remembered with those who remain.
Campillo translated that sentiment into original artwork for the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino bottle. His design depicts two souls reunited, transforming the bottle into a visual representation of memory, love, and connection.
The collaboration extended beyond the bottle and into Campillo’s SS27 New York Fashion Week experience.
Set against views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge at the Downtown Manhattan Heliport, the event welcomed more than 200 members of the press, tastemakers, influencers, and celebrities. Guests included DANNA, Valentina Ferrer, Jesus Ortiz, Elena Reygadas, Soleon, Dani Shultz, and Eduardo Holguin, among others.
A cempasúchil-inspired bridge installation brought El Puente Eterno into the physical space, connecting the campaign’s symbolism with the setting of Campillo’s runway presentation.
Guests also enjoyed signature Tequila Don Julio cocktails, including a special creation from Bar Mauro, before the celebration continued with an exclusive after-party following the runway show.
For Campillo and Tequila Don Julio, the collaboration placed Mexican creativity and cultural storytelling at the center of a New York Fashion Week moment.
By bringing together fashion, art, tradition, and contemporary celebration, the Artist Edition transforms the familiar bottle into something more symbolic—a tribute to the relationships and memories capable of building bridges across generations.
And for SS27, that bridge stretched all the way to New York.
