NOLCHA SHOWS NFT EDITION
New York Fashion Week NFT edition tells you the future of the fashion show. Nolcha Shows, a leading award-winning event hosted the NYFW NFT edition where web3 technology meets contemporary fashion at the Word Trade Center. The Web 3 events allow experiencing technology to incorporate fashion in virtual reality. The event was held for two days from 13th to 14th, September 2022 during the New York Fashion Week.
It’s such an exclusive fashion show featuring creators, investors, founders, and industry leaders in the Web3 space to promote collaboration and innovation in fashion. Also, it’s an evolutionary journey to demonstrate how Web3 has been shaping the fashion industry. It was a special moment for Metaverse fashion, token-gated physical shows to entertain audiences.
Among the brands during the event, ChainGuardians, a blockchain gaming company debuted the first line of its phygital clothing to highlight the emergence of AR in fashion. Its one-of-a-kind Meta Street Wear collection offers two consumer experiences through virtual immersion technology.
In other words, the Phygital collection can be worn both in real life and in the metaverse. Prior to the runway show, ChainGuardians had a virtual reality space to offer sensory experiences, allowing the attendees to experience virtual versions of the clothes. And then, the attendees could see the real version of the metaverse fashion on the catwalk where the digital garments of avatars were transformed into physical pieces of clothing on the catwalk. Besides, the physical t-shirts with a chip that has a scannable code that gives the owner an NFT for attendees to take home.
“When you’re wearing your t-shirt, your avatar in the metaverse will be wearing the same thing. Those are opportunities we can get women into the space and make it easy to understand starting with fashion.” said, Emma Liu, ChainGuardians co-founder and CEO. Also, she added that one of her intents of the show is to engage “non-crypto” people those who aren’t familiar with Web3 as well as women.
Along with ChainGuardians, OhZone has presented patented 3DReal technology that automates turning physical clothing into fantastic NFT wearables ready for the Metaverse.
The NYFW NFT edition had not only fashion shows but also a series of web panel discussions to highlight various aspects of Web3 and its impact on the fashion industry.
