Net-a-Porter and Alaïa to launch exclusive e-commerce collection.

The luxury Parisian fashion house, Alaïa is the latest newcomer to Net-a-porter’s line of designers to shop from online. This will be the first time that Alaïa’s ready-to-wear Spring 2017 collection will be available on the online retailer. The collection features an assortment of 60 pieces, ranging from dresses, skirts, shoes and accessories. The brand will also be launching its perfumes, bath and body products, and candles for the first time as well through the online retailer. The RTW collection is currently available for purchase through Net-A-Porter. The ready-to-wear pieces have prices ranging from $500-8,820, with price ranges on their beauty products running between $50-350.

Net-A-Porter’s senior buyer, Holly Russell, told WWD“We wanted to provide our customer with a wide offering, so we’ve bought a variety of the classic knit dresses in different colorways, with varying sleeve lengths and hemlines. Whilst dresses are a significant part of the offering — we have 22 styles in classic Alaïa shapes — separates were also very strong and therefore prominent within our selection. We’ve backed the matching top and skirt combinations, as well as mini and maxi skirts, cotton shirting and denim. Knowing our customer, these categories will be quick to sell.” 

Russell announced that there would be a selection of iconic classic sculptural shapes that the brand has been well-known for, such as their laser-cut designs and waist-cinching belts as well as offering a variety of a few seasonal pieces. Russell hopes the collection will tailor to the needs of the e-tailer’s customer base with this versatile collection.
