Fashion At The ESPY’S

On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, Stephen Curry hosted the 2022 ESPY’S. The award show recognizes individual and team athletic accomplishments on and off the field. Additionally, the show presents awards for individuals’ humanitarian efforts and acts of service. The award show was filled with glamorous star-studded athletes and other celebrities whose fashion almost made as big of a mark as the nominees’ and winners. From Gucci to Dolce & Gabbana to Versace, look at some of the amazing fashion from the 2022 ESPY’s.
Russel & Ciara Wilson
Denver Broncos quarterback Russel Wilson arrived in Dolce & Gabbana fitted in a half grey half black 2-piece suit that included a black silk shirt and top-half patterned blazer, along with black trousers. Accompanying him was his wife, singer and dancer, Ciara. She looked gorgeous in a long-sleeved black velvet gown with an open neckline that extended to just above her navel. The look was detailed by Sabina Bilenko, who added a glittery sparkled bust that outlined the open neckline. This couple is known for their eye-catching fashion and taking glamour to a whole new level.
Chloe Kim
Chole Kim, Olympic gold-medal snowboarder, was nominated for best athlete, women’s action sports. Although she didn’t win her award, she won for looking absolutely stunning in her Versace dress. Alongside her beachy hair, Kim wore a long-sleeved cobalt blue dress with a slit that let her pop out her left leg. The dress was also decorated with giant safety pins, which added some amazing flair to the look. Kim made sure to keep it polished on the red carpet like she does on the snowy slopes.
Stephen & Ayesha Curry
The ESPY’S host and 2-time award winner that night, Stephen Curry, fashioned a white turtleneck with black blazer and trousers designed by Bottega Veneta. Additionally, he went with a bulkier shoe, a watch designed by Vacheron Constantin, and a Tiffany & Co. necklace. His wife, actress and chef, Ayesha, wore a long flowy black and white Mônot dress with a left leg slit. She strutted in some strappy black and jeweled Jimmy Choo heels, accompanied with a few accessories and a wavy hairstyle. These two are always individually looking sharp and putting them together creates even more beauty.
Eileen Gu
Snowboarder, and winner of the Best Breakthrough Athlete and Best Athlete women’s action sports, Eileen Gu, looked beautiful in her Elie Saab jumpsuit. This all-black jumpsuit sported some amazing detail in the striped pattern across the mid-section and bust. Not to mention the fun, frilly, and feathered shoulders of the outfit. Alongside a few accessories and platform heels, Gu also opted for a Louis Vuitton clutch. This Olympic gold medalist definitely stood out for her athleticism and striking style.
Klay Thompson
Thompson, a recent NBA Champion and winner of the Best Comeback Athlete, was decked out in Dolce & Gabbana. Like Russel Wilson, Thompson was also fashioning a grey patterned suit and some black trousers. Although he added a white dress shirt and a bowtie. While further accessorizing with Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, a watch made by Tissot and some simple black dress shoes . Certainly, it was a great win for him, and an even more amazing style to do it in.
Megan Rapinoe
Rapinoe, winner of the Best Play award for her incredible corner kick goal at the Olympics, was dressed head-to-toe in Gucci. She paraded in a cream-colored blouse and blazer littered with bright crystals along with flared black trousers. Additionally, opting for black Gucci shoes as well and some assorted accessories. All in all, Rapinoe looked just as spectacular as her corner kick goal.
