Christian Cowan + Segway + Lil Nas X Collaborated for NYFW

Segway debuted their collaboration with fashion designer Christian Cowan during his Spring/Summer 2021 digital show during New York Fashion Week on NYFW.com. Fashion designer Christian Cowan collaborated with scooter brand Segway, and rapper Lil Nas, to create a collaborative unisex ready-to-wear collection with 100% of profits benefitting Atlanta’s Black queer youth community through the creation of funds for the Loveland Foundation, during NYFW’s first ever digital fashion week. 

 
Shooting the fashion week presentation didn’t come without its challenges while coordinating set times in London, New York and Los Angeles over three days with additional talent Heidi Klum, Marc Jacobs, Jade Thirlwall, Ava Max, Violet Chachki, Gus Kenworthy, Hanne Gaby, Aweng Chuol, Helena Christensen, Parker Kit Hill, Khadijha Red Thunder, Trey Trey, Symone, Teddy Quinlivan, Sean Bankhead, AJ Harris, Isis King, and Drebae.

Christian Cowan customized the Segway Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 and the yet-to-be released Ninebot eMoped in bright glitter and crystal details that was then featured in the designer’s New York Fashion Week video. Lil Nas X, Amanda Lepore, Suzanne Bartsch, Jari Jones, and Chella Man all made appearances in the video alongside the custom Segways.
