Brands launch their SS21 collections

While we are still in the Fall months and our fashion is reflecting the cooler months, brands and designers continue to create work for the Spring Summer 21 season. Below is a curated list and lookbooks for SS21 collections.

AKNVAS

The advanced-contemporary womenswear brand, designed by Christian Juul Nielsen. The collection, designed in New York City, is targeted as innovative daywear combining flattering silhouettes, knits and beautiful color palettes. The heritage women’s footwear brand includes sandals, espadrilles, linen wedges, boots, and loafers. While the current pandemic is limiting everyone’s traveling, these shoes are the perfect companion for those hopeful tropical trips we can take in the Spring and Summer season. APOTTS

New York-based designers Aaron Potts discovered his love for fashion through award shows, movies and shopping with his mother. APOTTS is a unisex collection featuring clean, modern, trans-seasonal clothes that parallel a stylish uniform using versatile pieces and fabrics. The silhouettes are graphic portraying ease and airiness. The collection offers blouses ranging from $250 – $625; bottoms from $165 – $1495; dresses from $295 – $1795; and outerwear from $395 – $1495. Cougar Shoes

The Canada-based women’s, men’s, and children’s footwear brand, Cougar Shoes has been making shoes for more than 70 years. Boots are timeless and the perfect footwear even during the Spring months, but they also make Spring sandals. slip ons, and rainboots. David Hart

NYC-based men’s RTW designer, GQ Best New Menswear Designer America 2015, Woolmark finalist, and CFDA member launched his independent neckwear line, David Hart & Co., a collection of luxury ties, bow ties, and pocket scarves in 2009. He later expanded his focus into a full ready-to-wear collection in 2013. His collection is confident and approachable for the modern man. You can shop the collection here.

Desigual

The Barcelona-based fashion brand is known for featuring bright colors and exciting silhouettes. The brand offers both menswear and womenswear in addition to kids’ designs. You can shop the designs here.

The American heritage menswear footwear brand includes lace to toe sneakers, Oxfords, and even lace boots. Florsheim even features kids’ shoes and you can shop for footwear here and is available at Nordstrom, Zappos, Macy’s, and Amazon.

The UK-based, menswear, womenswear, and children’s sneaker brand, Gola features the rainbow collection, high sneakers, metallic shoes, and their Daytona sneakers. Le Club

This men’s and children’s swimwear brand based in Miami features a colorful collection of swimwear getting everyone in the Spring and Summer spirit. While it is still cool around the country, Le Club gives us something to look forward to during the warmer months. You can shop for more swimwear here.

Mavi

The Turkish men’s and women’s contemporary and premium denim brand’s new collection is made from sustainable denim for both comfort and style. Collections include high-rise, boyfriend, straight leg and flare jean styles and denim jackets. The jeans are sold at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Zappos, Amazon, and online here.

Price range: the Mavi denim pants and jackets range from $98 – $128; shorts and skirts start at $78.

Minnetonka

The Minnesota-based women’s, men’s, and children’s footwear brand feature moccasins, slippers, and fringe boots. Although known for their moccasins, the boots are made with top-of-the-line leather and soft suede for both indoor and outdoor wear good for any season. You can shop the collection here.

NICESTUFF Clothing

Founded in New York-based, the menswear line NICESTUFF combines comfort with smart looking designs and garments. Their mission is to provide comfort and nice-looking button-down shirts, blazers, and pants for the everyday man. The brand’s signature design includes melange knit, perfect for a work from home situation, or for when we all start heading back to the office.  You can shop the collection here.

Private Policy takes journalism to a whole new level. The New York City-based genderless brand and 2019 CFDA-Vogue Fashion Finalist capitalizes on rebellious styles, free spirits and finds inspiration from socially political topics. Their website, designed after news outlets, immediately caught my attention. Their designs are more than just clothing, it is for people who love fashion and understand the world around them. Although the garments are simple in their design, they appeal to both men and women with their colorful elements or interesting graphics. You can shop for their garments here.

Psycho Bunny

The New York-based men’s lifestyle collection; includes men’s contemporary and tailored clothing, a kid’s collection, accessories, and even a golf collection. The bold-colored t-shirts are perfect for the warmer months when we will, hopefully, be able to spend more time outside. You can shop here.

The New York City-based menswear and womenswear contemporary brand’s SS21 Daydream Collection embodies what everyone needs and it hoping Spring will bring, a ‘daydream vacation.’ Designed by Victor Li, the collection takes inspiration from hibiscus blossoms, the ocean, and the cheerfulness of Spring. Wolverine
