About The “Bloodroot: Into the Archives” Collection

The “Bloodroot: Into the Archives” AW 2022 collection is a new rendition of the nostalgia-inspired Heritage Bloodroot collection shown in 2017. The inspired Heritage Bloodroot collection show in 2017 introduced the brand’s storytelling appeal and timeless silhouettes. This new collection, inspired by the rare herb bloodroot, is used by old-time conjures and rootworkers as a powerful Guardian for the Family. Not only that, but this collection is also an ode to Southern Creole’s spiritual and African Roots.

“Bloodroot: Into the Archives,” is an archival find of the rootworker, Southern lady, and Bluesman archetypes. Unearthed for a new audience, this collection is one of the best. Equally important, the mother-daughter design duo, Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka, explored classic silhouettes. In addition, the silhouettes are from the nostalgic Bloodroot collection by probing new colorways and patterns.
