Preview: Netflix’s ‘Enola Holmes’ Starring Millie Bobby Brown Hits Streaming On Sept. 23

Enola Holmes tells the story of Sherlock Holmes’s (Henry Cavill) younger sister, Enola (Millie Bobby Brown), and her journey in becoming her own person, despite specific expectations of a young girl growing up in England.

Her quirky mother, Mrs. Holmes (Mrs. Holmes), raised Enola by herself and rather than teaching her how to knit and dance, Enola knows how to fight and observe. Those skills come in handy when Mrs. Holmes goes missing, and it is up to Enola to find her. (With a little help from her brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft (Sam Claflin).

Netflix released the trailer for the film just a few days ago. Millie Bobby Brown’s performance is different than what we’re used to seeing her play: an angsty teen fighting the upside down. It’s much more lighthearted, and seeing her work with Henry Cavill will be enjoyable.

Netflix’s Enola Holmes is based off the book series of the same name by Nancy Springer, and the film is directed by Harry Bradbeer. It will premiere on Netflix on Sept. 23.
