Gloria Carter’s wedding was a momentous occasion that brought together close friends, family, and an array of famous faces. It was held in the Tribeca neighborhood in New York City.

The ceremony was attended by her son, Jay-Z, his wife and her grandkids. Many other celebrity guests were in attendance from the likes of Kelly Rowland, Tyler Perry and Tina Knowles-Lawson.

Beyoncé took to Instagram to share her stunning ensemble for the occasion. Showcasing a peach-colored outfit that highlighted her impeccable style. The outfit consisted of a corseted Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit and a matching skirt, exuding elegance and sophistication. To complete her look, she adorned herself with a feathered jacket, a lace handbag, and a chic pair of sunglasses.

Accompanying Beyoncé was her daughter, Blue Ivy, whom she shares with Jay-Z. Blue Ivy looked enchanting in a floor-length silk Reformation gown in a serene sage green hue. While adding a touch of glamour, she accessorized her ensemble with a delicate chain necklace and a pair of strappy heels, showcasing her own budding sense of fashion.

This track became a part of Jay-Z’s renowned 4:44 album, originating from a poem that Gloria Carter had written during a flight to Los Angeles while she embarked on a visit to see her son.

Gloria Carter’s star-studded wedding comes five years after she revealed she was a lesbian through her son’s song, ‘Smile’.

Jay-Z was widely praised in the West for accepting and giving his mother the platform to express herself. 

In 2019, he also gave her a shout-out during the GLAAD Media Awards, for allowing him to tell her story.
