This year’s SpoiledLatina keynote speaker, as well as honoree, was Julissa Bermudez. Bermudez is an actress and TV personality who has hosted programs on large networks like BET and MTV. She is also the owner and founder of her skincare line, república skin. Guests of the conference were able to shop from república skin while in attendance. Other brands they could also shop from include Rock’Em, Shop JZD, Nail’D It, and many more.

Along with Guidry and Bermudez, there were many notable attendees that guests could talk to and hear from at the SpoiledLatina Summit. These attendees include the Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and more. Guests could go to many informative talks, including a Marketing, Media, and Making Moves panel, Content, Comunidad y Mas panel, Mi Casa Es Su Casa panel, and more.

One of the main sponsors of the event was Buchanan’s Whisky, a whisky brand of Scottish origin. They were also a sponsor for the event’s first year. The brand was very excited to honor Latinas of Houston and raised a glass high to them and all of the 200%ers(100% Hispanic and 100% American). Their sponsorship included many delicious cocktails and a fruit stand so that all of the guests could get a tasty treat. In addition, there were other sponsors like Tequila Don Julio, CÎROC, and Seedlip. These brands, including Buchanan’s, are under the Diageo parent company. These brands were certainly ready for the big celebrations of the summit.

This SpoiledLatina summit celebrated hundreds of women and businesses. In fact, this event was so big that the City of Houston declared July 14 and 15 to be the official SpoiledLatina Summit Days. There was an inspiring message behind this event, and the work for it paid off. Guidry pulled off a successful summit that brought together many entrepreneurs and businesses. Hopefully, next year’s event will be just as successful, if not more so.
