Nitopi’s Origin

The Australian-based designer has been showing at NYFW since 2007, with the debut of her first collection. Nitopi used her opportunity at the 2007 NYFW to launch her brand and show her first collection.

Nitopi is a self-studied designer, having grown up in a family with a strong love for fashion she decided to follow the same path. According to Fashion Week Online, Nitopi attributed a big part of her success in fashion to her mother. For instance, she remembers the feeling of wearing her mother’s original designs and hopes to convey that same sense of beauty and confidence with her own work.

Playing off her Italian background, Nitopi’s collections always bring in an unexpected European style to the garments. The designer’s most recent collection is no exception, with a mix of beautiful metallic fabrics and stunning shapes the designer perfectly encapsulates her heritage and her personal style.

The runway show consisted of gold and charcoal metallic tops. The eye-catching tops were styled with brown and black leather pants to offset the bold fabrics. The show presented both ready-to-wear and couture items as part of the collection. Not only does the collection feature stunning tops, the collection includes a few evening dresses as well. Similarly, to tie into the rest of the collection the dresses are in the same gold metallic fabric as the tops. Additionally, Nitopi showcased her technical style with a garment topped with a 3D sculpted flower.

Victoria Secret model, Martha Hunt showed off all the amazing garments in the collection. Hunt’s unique approach to modeling showed off the pieces perfectly and captured the vibrant spirit of the collection.
