Toosii Drops New Mixtape “Thank You For Believing”
Notable artist and rapper, Toosii, has just released his new mixtape Thank You For Believing on the morning of May 7. The Raleigh-based rapper released the new mixtape under South Coast Music Group/ Capitol Records. In honor of the mixtape’s debut, he has also released a video for his single “Shop” featuring his labelmate, DaBaby. The video has already received over 1.1 million views on YouTube and ranks number 19 for trending YouTube music. Consisting of songs with features from fellow Southern artists like Key Glock and Mulatto, Thank You For Believing showcases that down-south style accompanied by well-written lyrics.
Thank You For Believing is composed of 13 different songs that total 39 minutes in length. The mixtape features the well-known singles, “what it cost” and “back together,” which were also on hip-hop magazine, XXL’s, weekly list of “best new songs.” This mixtape is able to find that balance between songs that will get listeners amped up and excited, and songs that will make listeners take a second listen and think about the message behind the lyrics.
The latest single released by Toosii, “Shop,” is a track that will definitely get listeners up and moving. Both of the rappers are able to come together with no issues on this single and each artist is able to add something special to this song. Directed by Joan Pabon, the music video for “Shop” has bright colors, lots of dancing and highlights that fun Miami/ Caribbean nightlife.
