R&B Artist Tiana Kocher Releases a Hit for The Ladies
To kick off this years Women’s History Month it only seems fitting to talk about up-and-coming R&B singer/songwriter Tiana Kocher who just released a hit for the ladies. Kocher’s new single “Back It Up” is one of many tracks on her impending album that submerges fans into the world of love, and all its forms.
“Back It Up” embodies Kocher’s unapologetic and fearless aura, striving to give female listeners the same confidence. As her last two tracks show off the R&B singer’s softer side, she wanted to exhibit her versatility skills with a more vibrant and tune. “After releasing two mellow love songs as part of my new project, I wanted to show y’all something fun and upbeat,” Kocher said. Then, like any good artist she lets the onlookers sit back and interpret her work of art however they may.

Tiana Kocher was born and raised and in Manila, Philippines, but made the monumental decision to move to California in 2018 to enhance her music career. Growing up, she always had a deep fondness for the arts. She began her journey by attending a musical theater camp, which opened up the doors to the Broadway and West End Musicals where she played as beloved onscreen characters like Glinda for the Wizard of Oz, Rapunzel for Into the Woods, and Serena from Legally Blonde the Musical. The Manila native even dabbled in lyrical stories for personal expression.
Loved ones attempted to push Tiana in a different direction, such as sports, but she could never quite let go of her dream. Although she followed her family’s desired career path, it always ran parallel to music.
After high school her time as an athlete came to an end, but her love for singing and songwriting lived on. Shortly before the big move to the entertainment capital, Kocher attended the Cambridge School of Visual and Preforming arts in the United Kingdom. During her two-year accelerated course at the school, she received the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Shakespeare Award on more than one occasion. While in the midst of her education, Tiana perfected her acting, voice, and dancing skills.

Once Kocher landed in the City of Angels, she was determined to work with prominent artists in order to make a name for herself in the music industry, and she did exactly that. Post move, Tiana wrote and recorded with renowned artists such as TLC, Faith Evans, Sage the Gemini, and an unidentified Latin artist. With her “team of hustlers” she is truly unstoppable.
This is only the beginning, as Tiana is cooking up massive plans for the rest of 2022 and the years to follow. Tiana is currently set to preform live in LA on March 9th with Breaking Sound at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Along with her soon to be released album, she is also planning to drop her first NFT.
