P-Lo Announces New Album ‘Out the Box’
Multi-platinum producer, songwriter, and artist P-Lo returns with the announcement of his forthcoming album, Out The Box. A Philippine producer from San Francisco, California, P-Lo continues to define the bay area sound. His songs are high energy, vibrant and somewhere in the realm of contemporary hip hop. And now, he has announced his new album. This is fresh off his production placement on Drake’s highly anticipatedIceman album. Additionally, P-Lo unveiled via a cinematic trailer featuring NFL legend Marshawn Lynch.
You may be thinking: Marshawn Lynch, really? How’d he come to be involved? On paper it may not make much sense, but when you fully understand why, it almost makes too much sense. It’s a perfect match. The Super Bowl Champion running back isn’t just here for clicks. Though that helps promote ‘Out the Box‘, it’s not the main goal.
Lynch, P-Lo and ‘Out the Box’
Both P-Lo and Lynch have strong ties to the bay area. Lynch spent the latter stages of his career as an Oakland Raider, tallying just over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in 21 games. He is known for his “beast quake” runs, powering through the entire defense before strolling into the endzone. But more importantly, he embodies what this album is all about: A personal, authentic, resilient and hard working story that’s rooted in the Bay Area itself.
P-Lo yearns to create a sound unique to him while never forgetting his Bay Area roots.
