J.I.D. Releases New Song “Dance Now” And Announces New Album
J.I.D. released a new song and music, titled “Dance Now”. He also went on Instagram to announce to his fans that he’s working on his a new project. This will be his 3rd studio album. It’s been 4 years since his last solo album came out “DiCaprio 2”, which was well received by many music publications. He featured in Dreamville’s collab album that came out earlier this year. He featured on two songs in the album, most notably rapping on “Stick” which is the most streamed song on the album on Spotify. The title of the new album is called “The Forever Story”, which J.I.D. says is his “most important I’ve ever created”. On his instagram post, he compares the art cover of his first album “The Never Story” and his new project.
J.I.D. is known for his storytelling ability, so it’ll be intriguing to see what the album’s concept will be .”Dance Now” features Kenny Mason, with Foushee’s vocals appearing on the chorus. Somme may expect more high-profile names to appear on the new project. He’s part of the Dreamville collective so it’s possible to see artists like J Cole, Earthgang, Bas and others on the project. It’s very early to tell exactly what “The Forever Story” will entail.
“The Forever Story” appears to be dropping on August 26th. As of right now, “Surround Sound” and “Dance Now” are the two songs that will be on the album. “Surround Sound” came out back in January, featuring 21 Savage and Baby Tate. With 2 weeks left until the album drops, it’ll be interesting to see if J.I.D. drops another single to build more anticipation. J.I.D. will look to showcase his talents as well as his growth through the years on The Forever Story
