Cassie Marin Starts off 2022 With Single “Every time I see The Ocean”
Cassie Marin’s single “Every time I See The Ocean” was just released and the song fully delivers. The indie-electronica artist has started strong in 2022 in an attempt to garner more attention on her music.
“Every time I See The Ocean” starts with a catchy piano riff that is heard throughout the song’s full duration. The song’s mix of Marin’s soft vocals infused with an electro-pop beat curates a single that will be stuck in her head.
The title of the track is a reference to Marin’s upbringing. She stated, “I didn’t have anyone to play with as a child, but somehow the ocean had a presence so strong I forgot about my feelings of loneliness when I would swim in it. I remember daydreaming underwater and using my imagination in ways that felt so close to magic.I felt I metamorphosed in there. To this day I do change drastically when I visit the ocean, it’s like taking a vitamin that induces me to refresh and be deeply honest with myself. This song is that to me, a dip into an underwater daydream.”
Marin’s single discusses other subject manners as well. She speaks about a relationship with a man that she is reminiscing about. She sings in the chorus how she hopes that every time she thinks of him, he is doing the same. Marin sings, “I run with grace while dancing with your madness, I stand in place, tender beauty, but a magnet, I change every time I see the ocean, I pray that someday you feel the motion.”
