Braden Bales Says “Everything is Quiet”

Rising Canadian star Braden Bales unveils his new single, “EVERYTHING IS QUIET,” today via Capitol Records. This emotionally resonant track marks a new chapter for Bale, following the critical acclaim of his sophomore EP, “CATALYST,” and his previously released single “ASHED US OUT.”

“EVERYTHING IS QUIET” transcends the realm of a typical love song. It delves into the complexities of balancing ambition with the unwavering strength of love. Drawing from personal experiences, Bales shares the struggles of balancing ambition with relationships by crafting a relatable narrative that resonates with anyone who has ever felt the tug-of-war between pursuing a dream and nurturing a significant relationship.

Braden says about the track, “Ambition and love don’t mix well. I’m in my first long term relationship and I wrote this song as an apology before going on tour for over a month. It talks through the mixed feelings of trying to build a dream life while still wishing I was home and apologising for being away. ‘EVERYTHING IS QUIET’ is for anyone who’s pursuing a dream while trying to keep sight of what’s truly important.”

Over the last few weeks Braden has just wrapped his tour with Seattle based artist Ryan Caraveo on his “Trouble In Paradise” US tour that hit major cities such as New York, Chicago and more. Braden has a big year coming up with more music on the way soon. Be sure to check out more information HERE.

More About Braden Bales

Braden Bales wears his heart on his sleeve. The Oakville, Ontario one-to-watch is a self-made singer, songwriter, and producer whose raw honesty is as refreshing as it is powerful. Bales’ music dreams proved to be isolating since there was no music community in Oakville to work with, making his need to learn how to produce and engineer his own music more crucial. So when it was time for university, he switched from business school to an audio engineering program. His schooling occurred during COVID, meaning he only had one in-person class, leaving him to continue honing his craft from his bedroom. In November 2022, Bales drove from Toronto, where he was interning at a studio, to Los Angeles. For a month, he lived in his car doing sessions and trying to find a safe place to park and sleep each night. In February 2023, he did the same month of session work but in Nashville, this time sleeping at his lawyer’s house. It was during that period that he wrote and released “CHRONICALLY CAUTIOUS,” his breakthrough single. The emotionally revealing track garnered 50,000 views on TikTok in its first night. “From there, my life changed,” Bales describes of this moment. The song has since accrued nearly 40 million streams on Spotify. “I had the realization that all of the stuff that I’ve been chasing is possible and doable.” In between tours last year, Bales dropped two EPs: NOMAD and CATALYST. The striking projects showcase Bales’ intimate songwriting, which is entirely based off his personal experiences. And while his musical community has grown, he still mixes and masters his own music, clear in the sleek precision of the songs he’s released thus far. With his spring single “ASHED US OUT,” Bales closed a chapter on songs about his high school heartbreak and loneliness. His latest “EVERYTHING IS QUIET” opens a new door for Bales, as he begins writing love songs for the first time.
