Angela Wright Releases New Single “Love After First Love”

“Love After First Love” is Angela Wright ’s first single since last August and it was worth the wait. If you are in a relationship I must warn you, you might be reminiscing about your first love after hearing this song.

The pop and country-infused track has a catchy acoustic medley. When speaking on the song Wright said, “LAFL acknowledges the first experience and strong connections feel irreplaceable. The lyrics are her(Wright) love life as well as carefully crafted imagery.”

Have you ever had a past relationship that you wish never ended? Well, if you answered yes then you will relate to every lyric in “Love After First Love”.

In the first verse of the song, Wright talks about how her first love was not meant to last. She then uses the analogy of a wave to express how she still envies her past relationship. She sang, “Pulled me into the tides of your ocean, washed up on a shore someplace, those nights just sitting in your bedroom, did I lose a part of me?”

The relationship was toxic but satisfying, and based on Wright’s lyrics it seems like the relationship ended abruptly. This left the singer discontented as she sang, “Something in your eyes keep trying to find I keep chasing in different faces, this broken heart of mine’s unsatisfied and complacent.”

This song is a strong contrast to her last single “Hot Girl Summer”. Instead of lusting a previous relationship, Wright is gasconading about her moving on from a toxic relationship and finally living her best life. She uses the song to add more pain to the open wound that her previous partner is still healing.

Angela Wright has been making music for several years and is bound to blow up. We will see if this single will get more eyes on the singer.
