Petar Petrov Fall/Winter 2021
Petar Petrov unveiled his Fall/Winter 2021 collection earlier this month in a lookbook.
The collection conveys a sort of laidback elegance in its silhouettes and materials. Something we all need right now as we begin to transition out of quarantine and back to the everyday grind that comes with working in office settings.
Petar Petrov explains the inspiration behind the collection in his own words:
“It has been one year since we had our first show in London and ever since we’ve been living through a global pandemic. Our societies have grappled with some of the darkest moments but it feels as if there’s light at the end of the tunnel which comes closer every day. We feel there is space for positivity and optimism and whatever happens, we have to be strong and faithful to our values and to find a way to appreciate and more fully enjoy life,” he said.
“This season’s silhouette provides a twist to previous Petar Petrov collections with more slim-fit styles but I also enjoyed experiment with more volume: to design coats that when closed are extremely fitted but when open create a beautiful A-line dresses that are slim fit in certain areas but offer contrast in the form of bold, voluminous shapes. Knitwear and leather feels right for the upcoming fall with tailoring in heavier fabrication. Cool masculine outerwear from washed leather jackets to leather parkas and shearling coats offer the ultimate luxury hero piece for all occasions.”
