Boi-1da Is Canada Soccer’s First National Team Music Ambassador
On March 3rd in Toronto, Grammy award-winning Canadian producer and songwriter Boi-1da was named to be Canada’s first national team music ambassador. Both parties will launch a new philanthropic music program called “Perfect Pitch” to help benefit youth soccer development programs.
Perfect Pitch is a music collaboration that will be creatively directed and executive produced by Boi-1da, aiming to unite Canadian talent and soccer fans globally. Infinity Records will release a series of anthems that celebrates the passion for both music and soccer across the country as Canada prepares to co-host FIFA World Cup 26. Proceeds generated by the program will be donated to the Canada Soccer Foundation to benefit youth soccer programs across Canada, leaving a legacy for the next generation of Canada Soccer stars.
Canada Soccer also introduced an updated version of its CanadaRED fan club program, which has been enhanced to become a fan engagement and annual giving fund that will directly support the Canada Soccer Foundation. CanadaRED will serve as the exclusive platform for fans and supporters to access Canada Soccer’s FIFA World Cup 26 ticket allotment lottery. The tiered program is designed to recognize Canada Soccer donors and fans by aligning contribution levels with exclusive benefits.
“The announcement of these two philanthropic initiatives marks further progress for our organization as we continue to build our fundraising efforts in order to invest in the future of Canadian soccer,” said Kevin Blue, CEO of Canada Soccer.
“Being able to combine two things that I have a deep passion for – music and Canadian soccer – has always been something that I wanted to do. It’s an amazing feeling to be able to spearhead an initiative that allows me to create a musical identity for a program that I admire. Needless to say, it makes things even better for me that proceeds will go towards such a fulfilling cause. Everything about this moment is special,” said Boi-1da.
