Kamala Harris Appears On Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars Finale

Vice President and potential Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, made a guest appearance on the Season 9 finale of “Rupaul’s Drag Race: All Stars” this past Friday. On Tuesday, July 23rd, the show released a clip of Harris, surrounded by the series judges and guests like Lance Bass, Leslie Jones, Michelle Visage, Jamal Sims, and Cheyenne Jackson, encouraging viewers to vote in this upcoming election. “Each day we are seeing our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right of everyone to be who they are, love who they love, openly and with pride,” she continues, “We are all in this together, and your vote is your power. So please make sure your voice is heard this November, and register to vote,” Harris stated in the video.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, a spinoff from the original RuPaul’s Drag Race, has been airing since 2012 and has featured some of the most recognizable and popular celebrities and public figures. With eight returning all-stars competing for $200,000 that will go towards their chosen charity, this season has been entertaining, dramatic, and competitive — to say the least. This season has featured celebrity guest judges such as Keke Palmer, Anitta, and Stephanie Hsu, who have been “judging the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of eight returning competitors,” as stated by People Magazine

After President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, all eyes were glued to Kamala Harris. People have been sharing their support for Harris through social media with various edits in favor of the Vice President, one being the viral “coconut tree” clip. As a way to target younger voters, Kamala HQ has leaned into the brat” tiktok trend—derived from Charli XCX’s new album titled “brat”—by changing their X profile banner to a neon green, alluding to the “brat” neon green album cover.
