Coachella 2024 Weekend One Surprise Guests
Coachella 2024 weekend 1 delivered a whirlwind of excitement and unexpected thrills to eager crowds, thirsty for both incredible music and the ambiance of the vibrant desert festival. With an already impressive lineup, fans were further electrified by surprise guest appearances alongside iconic performers.
Billie Eilish:
Billie Eilish joined headliner Lana Del Rey on Friday night, treating the audience to a collaborative rendition of their breakout hits, “Ocean Eyes” and “Video Games.” Additionally, Eilish also made an appearance at the DoLab stage, hopping onto a DJ set and even teasing snippets from her upcoming album.
Shakira:
In a monumental return, Shakira partnered with Argentine DJ Bizarrap for her Coachella debut at the Sahara tent. Amidst her performance, Shakira revealed exciting news: she’s embarking on a world tour to promote “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” kicking off in November.
A$AP Rocky:
Despite not being on the official lineup, A$AP Rocky surprised audiences by appearing during two of the weekend’s headline acts. On Saturday, he rocked the stage alongside Tyler, the Creator for a rendition of “Potato Salad,” and on Sunday, he teamed up with Doja Cat for the debut of “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!”
Olivia Rodrigo:
Joining forces with No Doubt and lead vocalist Gwen Stefani, Olivia Rodrigo added her voice to the nostalgic rendition of the group’s iconic hit “Bathwater” from their 2000 album “Return of Saturn,” complete with a Y2K-inspired ensemble reminiscent of Stefani’s early 2000s style.
Will Smith:
In a surprise reminiscent of his “Men in Black” days, Will Smith, dressed as his iconic Agent J character, made a cameo during J Balvin’s Weekend 1 set. The Colombian artist brought Smith onstage for a stellar rendition of the 1997 hit “Men in Black.”
With an impressive lineup of surprise appearances and performances, Coachella 2024 Weekend one left festival-goers and fans thrilled. If the first weekend set the bar this high, anticipation for Weekend 2 is at an all-time high!
