How To Plan The Perfect Beach Barbecue?

With summer coming to end soon planning those final beach days and beach barbecues are a great way to wrap up the summer. Now, this does take a little longer with assembly but the atmosphere at the beach is worth the hassle. This is also a great way to gather family and friends for a final summer event.

Set-Up

If you are planning on going to the beach it is better to get there on the earlier side in order to set up and get a good spot at the beach. For the set-up, regular beach chairs are easy to bring and foldable tables for a good bonfire. Also bringing a folding table is very helpful for the food and drinks for guests. Another crucial part of the bonfire is getting a large steel bucket from a local hardware store to contain the fire. In addition, some other essentials for a beach bonfire are paper towels and plates and plastic cups, and cutlery. The final small part of a bonfire that is necessary is flashlights which will be extremely handy as the sun begins to set.

Food & Drink

Appetizers

Some great appetizers that all the guests will enjoy including guacamole and chips, a small cheese platter, and if you want to throw in some seafood shrimp cocktail. These are great for a barbecue because they are easy to assemble and eat on the beach.

Entree

For the main entree with a beach barbecue, you’re open to having many options. In that, you can cook hamburgers and hotdogs if you have a grill, or you could order a pizza and bring that down to the beach. Both of these options will be enjoyed by guests; it just depends on how much you want to cook. As for sides, purchasing or making coleslaw, corn on the cob, or macaroni salad are all great options.

Dessert

As for dessert, you can have cookies and small other treats that are easy to travel with, but a classic option is of course s’mores. S’mores are perfect for this occasion since you can cook them on your nicely made bonfire. A key here is finding or purchasing sticks to toast the marshmallow. Then you just need some chocolate and graham character and you have made the perfect s’more.

Drinks

For drinks whatever your guests prefer to drink will work but bring a cooler is key to keeping everything cold. Having a variety of drinks including beers and wines is great for a beach bonfire.
