NYC Restaurant “The Smith” Honors Knicks Players with Revamped Menu
NYC restaurant “The Smith” has altered various menu items to honor New York Knicks players ahead of their trip to the 2026 NBA finals. With four locations spread across Manhattan, this marketing scheme creates more business while celebrating the NBA’s finest. ‘The Brunson Burger‘ is sure to be a top seller along with ‘Bar Steak A La KAT’, a nod to New York’s big man. Both of New York’s 2-way wings were highlighted as well with ‘Bridges’ Potato Chips’ and ‘OG’s Mac + Cheese‘. Even sharpshooter and fan favorite Landry Shamet got in on the action with his ‘Landry’s French Dip’.
2026 New York Knicks: A Team of Destiny?
The New York Knicks are on a historic run in the 2026 NBA playoffs. Not only is the team back in the NBA Finals for the first time since their 1999 defeat against the San Antonio Spurs, but they’ve done so in dominant fashion. To sweep a single series in a postseason run is impressive to say the least. To sweep multiple series in a postseason run is borderline unheard of. Only a handful of teams across the association have accomplished this feat. The last squad to do it? That would be the 2017 Golden State Warriors featuring future Hall of Famers Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. So yes, it’s safe to say the 2026 Knicks are in prestigious company.
New York City is rallying around the likes of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and their supporting cast. Brunson leads the team in PPG (26.6) and APG (6.3) in these playoffs. Captain Clutch also shows up when it matters, averaging just under 10 points on 56% shooting in the 4th quarter. KAT has been the backbone of the teams defense to go along with his 17.3 PPG and team leading 10.8 RPG. The two superstars continue to lead the team on its historic 13 game postseason winning streak.
For the first time in 27 years, Madison Square Garden will host an NBA Finals game. Ironically, the Knicks will face the same opponent. June 25th, 1999 saw New York fall 78-77 against the upstart San Antonio Spurs. Now, in 2026, the Knicks hold a commanding 2-0 series lead. Will this year be any different? The World’s Most Famous Arena will host games 3 & 4 on Monday, June 8th and Wednesday, June 10th. Both will tip off at 8:30 EST and air on ESPN/ABC.
