“Truffle Sauce” Hollywood Premiere
The exclusive “Truffle Sauce” film world premiere in LA powered by Blavity TV, Artifact, IYO Agency and The Professional Pen took place this week and Black Hollywood didn’t sleep. Directed by award-winning director Isaac Yowman and written by Shannan E. Johnson, this poignant film touches on the horrifying realities of human trafficking and depicts the trauma that survivors must cope with.
The support for this important work was felt on Tuesday night as stars like Rosa Acosta and Phillip Smithey (Johnson), Porscha Coleman (Empire), Brittany Batchelder (All American), Slink Johnson (Black Jesus), Veronica Dash (iCarly, Lucifer) Wesley Armstrong (North Of The 10), Lanny Smith (Actively Black) and more walked the red carpet and viewed this impactful film.

Truffle Sauce is now live on Blavity TV but Yowman has much more in the works. As the acclaimed director explains, “later this year we have a short documentary I directed that was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and selected at SXSW, “Memory Builds The Monument” coming out on BET. DJ Screw’s scripted biopic is still in full swing at Sony Pictures and the estate and I are separately wrapping up the unscripted doc next month. We have a dope short film in collaboration with General Motors releasing Q4 and well my partner Jeron Smith and I have a couple game changing pieces we are developing via Incubation Lab. A lot on the slate to say the least.”
