Notable Releases In The Next Few Weeks

There are a variety of television shows and movies that have notable releases in the next few weeks. See below to find out more about what to watch and where to watch it.

Atlanta

Firstly, after a four-year hiatus, “Atlanta” is back with its third season. The show follows Atlanta rapper Paper Boi, played by Brian Tyree Henry, and focuses mainly on his cousin and manager Earn, played by series creator Donald Glover. Other characters include Darius, played by LaKeith Stanfield, and Earn’s ex Van, played by Zazie Beetz. This season follows the characters as they travel for Paper Boi’s international tour. Here is the season three trailer. Viewers can watch “Atlanta” on FX and can stream it on Hulu the next day. The third season starts on March 24. 

Moon Knight

Secondly, Oscar Isaac’s stars in Disney’s most recent limited series. The actor plays Marc Spector who is a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder. Meanwhile, he ends up being possessed by an Egyptian God, which leads us to the antihero we have today. The character will be showing up in future Marvel’s Cinematic Universe movies, so this is a must-watch for any MCU fan. Disney+ streams the show starting March 30. Here is the trailer. 

Turning Red

This film has been out for about a week now, but is nevertheless one of the most notable releases in the next few weeks. Making history, this is the first Pixar film to follow an Asian protagonist. Director Domee Shi portrays a Chinese-Canadian in this animated film and is a good coming-of-age movie. Here is the trailer for the film. 

Anything Goes

In select theaters March 27 and 30, viewers can see Cole Porter’s 1934 “Anything Goes.” A revision by Kathleen Marshall, which was first seen on Broadway in 2011, can now be seen in theaters. This is the perfect way to spend a night out for any Broadway fan.
