Prince Kung’s Palace Fashion Show

On September 27th, the Prince Kung’s Palace Fashion Show showed off Chinese designer Laurence Xu’s newest collection.

The Prince Kung’s Palace Fashion Show was hosted by the Prince Kung’s Palace Museum under China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism was staged at the China Cultural Center in Paris by the Seine River. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Prince Kung’s Palace Museum.

Xu opened the first edition of “Sino-French Fashion and Culture Festival.”

The clothing line expresses peoples internal attitudes mixed with artistic creativity. Showing how technological progress gains vitality and symbolizes the pursuit of beauty and a better life of mankind.

Starting with the first look, tying in jewel tones of gold and green, the contrasting patterns of the pants and jacket shows how the classic fabrics can be modernized into today’s fashion. Giving a more up to date look on a timeless design.

The second look is a stunning princess style dress. Again, showing off the perfect jewel tones of gold, green, and red. Giving a classic princess feel, but making it modernized with the cat eyeliner and a cape to tie in the entire look.

This collection shows how fashion progresses in any culture. Symbolizing that even though the times are progressing, fashion will always stay up to date and grow over time.
