Hamptons Fashion Week 2023: Fashion’s Finest
The 5th annual Hamptons Fashion Week witnessed a revolutionary transformation by DCG Public Relations Group on the catwalk.
Hamptons Fashion Week 2023, produced by the DCG Public Relations Group, brought fashion’s finest to South Hampton this past weekend. DCG Marketing Group revolutionized the catwalk landscape with the 5th annual Hamptons Fashion Week®. This summertime event in the East End offered attendees the opportunity to indulge in a frontal runway show, meet-and-greets with designers, interactive brand pop-up booths, and various SWAG giveaways. The luxury extravaganza took place on Saturday, August 26th, at the Southampton Inn in Southampton, NY.The lineup of globally renowned creatives who participated in the luxury runway show included celebrity designer Cesar Galindo, Chilean designer Claudia Anicy Manuguian, CDFA legend Regina Kravitz, contemporary Brooklyn designer Edvin Thompson, Tasshi Couture by Sylvester Humbert, NANDANIE presented by Nancy Berman, Miami Swimwear by Megan Mae Stevens, and fashion-forward Enviroware by Merci Dupre Clothiers created by Christina Rahm and DRC Ventures.
The show kicked off with Cesar Galindo, a fashion veteran known for his drapery and pattern designs. With over 35 years of experience, Cesar has worked with renowned brands such as Calvin Klein and Dolce and Gabbana. He has also styled A-List celebrities like Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Courteney Cox, and Missy Elliott, among others. Recently, his gowns stunned patrons at Diane Von Furstenberg’s prestigious MET gala.
Following Cesar Galindo, Anicy Manuguian showcased her Prèt a Porter and luxury knitwear designs. With a decade of experience in Europe, working with major designers and fashion houses, Anicy’s line has been worn by celebrities such as Lil Mama, Carmen Electra, Billie Lourd, and Danielle Nicolet.
Regina Kravitz, a long-time CFDA member, was credited for her iconic contribution to the fashion industry with the jumpsuit. She also developed key trends in the contemporary dress market, including soft rayon fabrics and the sexy slip dress. Her collections have been featured in various publications.
Tashii Couture brought celebration and vibrancy to the show. Tashii’s designs have been worn by esteemed individuals such as singer Fantasia, vocal trio SWV, and Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for New York City Laurie A. Combo.The first round of shows wrapped up with swimwear straight off the runways of Miami Swim Week with Megan Mae Miami. Megan Mae Stevens created Megan Mae Miami bikinis to inspire women to enhance the vibrancy and quality of their beachwear style.
In addition to the shows, Hamptons Fashion Week® held a Fashion Icon Awards ceremony to celebrate prominent figures in today’s era of fashion. Christina Rahm was recognized for her efforts towards sustainable and eco-conscious production practices. Edvin Thompson was honored for his ability to transcend industry norms with unique wearable biographies. Michelle Ochs was acknowledged for embarking on an exciting new chapter of her career as the new Creative Director of Hervé Léger.
The final shows of Hamptons Fashion Week® 2023 featured beautifully selected looks from Merci Dupre Clothiers Enviroware by Dr. Christina Rahm, Theophilio by Edvin Thompson, and Hervé Léger by Michelle Ochs. These designers stunned the audience with their innovative and trendsetting creations.
Hervé Léger, the French fashion house known for its seamless sculpting and bold bandage dresses, was the fabulous finale of the event. Michelle Ochs, the founder and creative director of womenswear brand Et Ochs and co-founder of Cushnie et Ochs, showcased her creative direction as the newest creative director of Hervé Léger. Ochs has been recognized for her talent and has dressed influential women such as Michelle Obama, Gal Gadot, Lupita Nyong’o, and Jennifer Lopez.
Hamptons Fashion Week® 2023 was anticipated to be an extraordinary event, highlighting the finest in fashion and honoring the industry’s most influential figures and talented individuals.
