Sabrina Carpenter Opens Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Style

After fifty-three dazzling shows in the United States, Taylor Swift has brought her iconic Eras Tour down to Mexico City for four nights only. But many didn’t just come to see Taylor Swift & Sabrina Carpenter shone with her own hits, such as “Nonsense” and “All Because I Liked A Boy.”

After wrapping up a one year-long tour for her iconic album, Emails I Can’t Send, Carpenter took the Eras Tour stage by storm. She began the first night with a custom dress by Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov–a designer she is quite fond of. His piece incorporates sparkling lace designs on a short black corset dress, fully embellished in white crystal. The bodice boasts a heart-shaped cutout, Frovlov’s signature design. Her tall black heeled boots complemented the look perfectly, adding an edge to her already perfect pop-star persona.

Her second look shared a similar shape and style, but in powder blue. Coupled with white garter tights and boots, Carpenter exuded an angelic vibe. Her hair fell loose and free at her shoulders, mimicking the carefree nature of her music. Carpenter tells Vogue “I’m in my short skirt era—no surprise to anyone—but I felt especially attached to this custom Frolov look.” She goes on to mention that the structured bodice allows her to move any which way, as her set requires high-energy dancing.

It’s no secret that Carpenter idolizes Swift–Sabrina’s set opens with a video of her singing Swift’s “Picture to Burn” at just nine years old. Standing at five feet tall, Carpenter truly brought big energy to Mexico City. Even after careful preparation, Carpenter reveals that she has never played for such an electric crowd. It helps that the “Swifties” have welcomed her with open arms! Carpenter is set to continue touring with Swift in November for the Argentina and Brazil dates. Until then, we’ll all be dreaming of what her next outfit will be.
