Ema Savahi and Ceaser Galindo Debut Spring-Summer 2027 Collections at NYFW

Inside, an old carwash turned renovated BMW Showroom, two designers displayed their own signatures of contemporary design and individuality. Ema Savahi and Ceaser Galindo debuted their Spring-Summer 2027 collections at NYFW‘s BMW Driven by Design event.

The Long Island City showroom was transformed into a presentation of what contemporary fashion and the admiration of the human figure can be through innovation and the love of craftsmanship.

The show kicked off with Ema Savahi’s collection featuring florals and scales that tricked the eye.

The garments are artworks conceived by Savahi, with shapes that manipulate and trick the eye into perceiving the wearer’s body shape, and iridescent florals and scales that almost appear as a second skin. The Miami-based designer conceives the artwork herself and transfers it onto four-way stretch mesh that gives it a skin-like fit.

Though Savahi could not attend herself, her designs speak for themselves as hand-painted optical illusions. Layered flowers and light-catching pigments moved down the walk seamlessly.

The evening continued with Ceaser Galindo‘s Spring 27 collection. A combination of classic silhouettes with textures that are both delicate and bold.

The variety this collection displays makes it accessible yet elevated.

Galindo’s reputation as one of New York’s most formidable and beloved designers rings true in the different personalities showcased in his work.

“I design for my ladies,” Galindo said. “The ladies who buy my work, and all my work is focused on that.” The runway is inspired by all of the personalities Galindo works with, the people he dresses.

With over 35 years in the industry and having worked with Diane von Furstenberg and dressed iconic figures such as Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, and Courteney Cox, Galindo’s inspiration rings true, capturing that boldness.

The evening, like its host, showcased that beloved spirit for the finer details when it comes to artistry.
