The Tanner Fletcher Bridal Line Was A True Destination Wedding
New York Bridal Fashion Week has once again hosted a beautiful showcase for some of fashion’s biggest designers and their plans for spring 2026. Several visionaries had incredible shows creating works of art for new brides. But, the true stand out was Tanner Fletcher whose line was not only an incredible work of gender fluidity and an homage to vintage bridal looks, but also concluded with a real wedding.
Following last year’s bridal line debut, designers Tanner Ritchie and Fletcher Kasell’s looks stunned, combining some of the classic elements of bridal aesthetics with vintage elements to create a line free of labels. No piece is strictly for men or women, but instead is for those who feel most drawn. This freedom of expression is what Tanner Fletcher is all about, fueling their work. The looks were each incredibly unique, featuring vintage silhouettes, shades of baby blue, and bows of all shapes and sizes. Playing with different fabrics such as layers of lace and ivory silk, the line was an outstanding work of art, each piece a beautiful reminder that fashion has no gender.
The show took place in Saint Paul’s German Evangelical Lutheran Church. The beautiful cathedral, filled with stained glass windows and bouquets of baby’s breath, helped set the tone for the show as real-life couples walked down the aisle. Accompanied by live music and a flower girl. Both straight and LGBTQ+ partnerships showcased Tanner Fletcher’s looks of fluidity and expression, further proving the power of fashion that transcends labels. The grand finale was, of course, the wedding. Models Michael Kaye and Parker Simoni walked down the aisle in coordinating looks from the line and shared beautifully intimate vows as they dedicated their lives and love to one another. There was not a dry eye in the room as the audience watched the young couple embrace, and a choir came out to perform the song, Going To The Chapel.
Overall, designers Tanner Ritchie and Fletcher Kasell have taken NYBFW and the fashion community as a whole by storm. Their devotion not just to their pieces but to celebrating love is what makes their creations so powerful. Each look is a genuine reflection of the intimacy of truly caring for another person. Their mission to create genderless fashion has led them to make beautiful pieces that transcend labels. There is no question that their future works will continue to stun as they make strides in the fashion world, further proving that clothing and expression have no gender.
