Angelina Kendall Is Named A Top Newcomer

Every fashion week is an opportunity for a modeling debut, a breakout season or a career end. The 2023 season flew by with a broad list of newcomers handpicked by industry greats as particular standouts. Models.com, the site that connects fashion enthusiasts to models and models to clients, released their lineup of top newcomers.

Industry veterans such as stylists Jacob K and Suzanne Koller picked their choice of newcomers. This “Industry Selects” section is not only a celebration of an individual model’s achievements but a networking opportunity to attract clients and book shows and campaigns. It is one of ways an unknown model can rise to meteoric heights.

Angelina Kendall

The newcomer that appeared in three out of five industry lineups was Brazilian-Australian model Angelina Kendall. Born in Sydney, Kendall was scouted during the COVID pandemic and first debuted in Australia. She didn’t grow up wanting to work in the fashion industry and instead dreamt of being a doctor. She is a beach babe and enjoys surfing, after growing up in between Sydney and Rio De Janeiro.

Kendall just recently made her international debut after closing the Khaite A/W 23 show. Since then, she has walked for everyone from Chanel and Valentino to Michael Kors and Etro. In the same season, Kendall opened the Isabel Marant show and closed Courreges. She now stands at the precipice of something big. Models can book campaigns and commercials – jobs that pay a great deal of money – using the label to further launch their career.

But, just as it changes someone’s life, the title is also fleeting and doesn’t stay forever. Regardless, there is no denying that the industry’s vote translates to the industry’s burgeoning respect. For Kendall, this respect may establish her and turn her into a supermodel, alongside veterans and industry scions.
