UNIQLO UT X KENSHI YONEZU

UNIQLO UT X KENSHI YONEZU

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO will debut its first UT collaboration collection with Kenshi Yonezu at limited UNIQLO stores in the United States, as well as on uniqlo.com beginning Friday, August 7th. UT (UNIQLO’s t-shirt range) offers an array of authentic pop culture and art graphics from around the world that allow wearers to express their individuality. The stunning designs are exclusive to the collection, which is also the first with an apparel brand for Yonezu. He has become a leading J-pop singer-songwriter in recent years and is also highly regarded as a talented illustrator of his own videos and album covers.

Graphics overseen by Yonezu that combine unique illustrations with stunning photography. The new collection features Yonezu’s drawings of several original characters such as his signature cat illustrations. Yonezu oversaw the creation of graphics for this artistic lineup, which combine bold prints of his illustrations with stunning photos. Greens and pinks augment the black and white base hues for this enjoyable unisex collection.

Delighting fans with special store decorations

The UNIQLO 5th Ave Store kicked off publicity for the new UT collection by using the exterior walls with a key UT design that showcases the jacket illustration from Stray Sheep, Yonezu’s latest album. This garnered attention worldwide, since it coincided with the Fortnite collaboration, making him the first non-North American artist to host a ‘Party Royale’ event in the cultural-phenomenon video game.
