UNIQLO UT Releases Collection Featuring Warhol, Basquiat, and Haring

UNIQLO launched a t-shirt and accessories collection with the artwork of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Starting July 26, UNIQLO features these iconic artists’ works as part of their UNIQLO UT graphic tee collection.

The collection is available online or at UNIQLO stores. Customers can buy a range of adult-size t-shirts and accessories featuring the artwork of Warhol, Haring, and Basquiat. T-shirts retail at $19.90. Prices for accessories start at $7.90 and go up to $39.90.

“UNIQLO and Basquiat together have become a truly classic partnership,” Jeanine Basquiat of the Basquiat Estate said. “UNIQLO always comes up with ways to use artwork in their designs that are fresh and new every time. We are always excited to see people wearing these shirts to discover and celebrate Jean-Michel’s work.”

UNIQLO’s new collection highlights the iconography behind these pop artists. The products feature Basquiat’s motif of a crown, Haring’s “LOVE” graphic, and Warhol’s recognizable Campbell’s Soup and Brillo Box prints.

“From the beginning of his career, Keith Haring has always been about democratizing art, and I think that’s one of the things that makes our partnership with UNIQLO such a great fit,” Acting Director of the Keith Haring Studio Gil Vazquez said. “The brand has really done a great job in using art and commerce to communicate to a broad, diverse audience, which is a core value in Haring’s artistic practice.”

Along with t-shirts, the collection includes tote bags, baseball caps, and umbrellas. Slip-on sneakers and small home goods will be available starting Aug. 9.

“We are honored to once again celebrate the iconic works of Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring, this time with an expanded lineup of goods,” said Vice President of UNIQLO Global Licensing, Merchandising, and Design Nicholas Grover. “With this collection, we hope to inspire customers to incorporate the world of art into their lives more closely.”

UNIQLO UT features a variety of tees with graphics inspired by pop culture and art. Established in 2007, the collection offers over 1,000 graphics each season.
