History of the Brand

Founder Richard Sharman takes inspiration from the original 19th-century leather Gladstone bag, which took the design of a handbag but with a brass frame and deep interior for ease of travel. The other half of the brand’s name is a tribute to the quality of leather craftsmanship in London.

Sherman credits his mother Angela Stanley for his luxury style that shines through in his craft. The limited edition bag, the Angela Stanley was created in her honor.

A Purse for Every Purpose

Gladstn London bags, also made from Venetian calfskin, are great for various travel needs. The Renegade Day Bag is simple yet purposeful; with a top-handle silhouette, a “duck-egg blue” lining with a cashmere feel, and YKK zippers. The spacious interior and convenient slip-pockets make the Renegade a comfortable choice. The Late Nights and Lie Ins Travel Bag is a slightly larger version of the Renegade, designed with plenty of room for overnight stays. The J Smith + Gladstn London collaboration made a chic version of a hat box, known as, The Hat Bag. This canvas bag has a protective sleeve and pocket and comes in the color Shark. It is also designed with an adjustable leather strap.
